"Peace Is Just", "Peace Is Necessary", "Peace Is Possible", Israel, Jerusalen International Convention Center, Obama Speech 3/21/13, Palestine, President Obama
President Obama yesterday spoke to 2,000 young people (and to Israel, Palestine, and the world beyond) at the Jerusalem International Convention Center.
I believe it is worth your time, 50:33 minutes, to see and hear his speech in its entirety, particularly the second half. (if the link to the video does not appear below this paragraph, you can get to it at Video: US-Israel Relations, CSpan.)
It is also possible to read the speech, although in so doing, you miss two important parts of the presentation, the manner in which President Obama presented his words and appeals and the reaction of the 2,000 young people in the audience (chosen by lottery).

Listened to this yesterday…
Was one of his best speeches…
The young seemed to appreciate
It as well….
I Just pray that the leaders on
Both sides listen and take heed
I thought, yrs ago, that I’d see the
‘Two State’ in my lifetime….in
The last few yrs I have given up
Then I think of Northern Ireland!
I was in that war zone many times
Thinking I could be killed at any time…
Today, a whole different world!
Catholic & Protestant in the streets
Pres. Obama always makes good speeches.Yet his administration is giving billions of our tax dollars to Egypt as well as sending them weapons. Even though their elected leader calledl Jews “pigs” and wants to wipe the Jewish State off the earth
I agree with 2 states, Jews in Israel and Palestineans in any of the deserts surrounding Israel. There is a hugh amount of unused land in Lebanon,Syria etc. Once The United States gives back land to American Indians, then I would believe that America has a right to tell Israel to divide it’s land ( even land it got in wars with regions that attacked them.
Everyone wants peace. Who would not want peace? But at what cost?
I am glad that our President has finally called Hamas and Hasbullah– terrorists.
