It strikes me that some folks are getting ‘het up’ ahead of time.  With yesterday’s news that Rev. Rick Warren is invocating at the Inaugural (an Inside the Beltway story?), the press is saying folks are all upset (on the the right and especially the left).  I can’t tell whether this is another example of the mainstream media looking for controversy now that the election is over and they don’t have as much to write or it’s genuine concerns just being reported by the press.  But I read the progressives and liberals regularly and don’t seem them criticizing Obama as much as the mainstream press seems to portray. There is unhappiness about Warren, but I see it more as an attempt to keep some pressure on Obama and let him know they are following his every move.

At any rate, let’s get on with our lives and hope that Obama and the team he deserves to choose will find a way to lead us out of the messes we are in.
