The most frequently asked question of Ellen and myself this wedding weekend: “Why was it happening in Vegas?”
Just as we’ve been clueless about a number of decisions in Beth’s (Elizabeth since ’98) life, we can only surmise.
So, I decided to ask MillersTime readers to use your knowledge of Beth and/or Brandt (as well as your imaginations) to list some possible reasons they chose Las Vegas as the site of their wedding.
To start you off, here are a few possibilities Ellen and I could think might have been in their minds:
*There’s no such thing as a bad hair day in Vegas.
*Beth’s father might be able to pay for the wedding out of his Black Jack winnings.
*Brandt, Edan (brother-in-law) and Andy (cousin) could cross off “shooting a machine gun” from their bucket list.
*One last opportunity for the men in the Tilis/Katten family to teach Brandt how to play golf, etc.
*Annie and Edan’s three young children (5, 3, 1) could easily be entertained and accommodated (or, more truthfully, Beth’s payback for whatever she holds against her elder sister).
*Friends Tiffany and Gavin could attend both the wedding and the EDCLV (Electronic Daisy Carnival) music festival at the same time.
Anyway, you get the idea. And don’t worry if you don’t know either Beth or Brandt very well. Just use your imagination.
Everyone is eligible to participate,
Even Brandt and Beth/Elizabeth/Mrs. Elizabeth Miller Tilis can submit entries..
Limit two entries per person.
I’ll post the submissions and then let MillersTime readers vote for which one they think is best.
Submit your idea(s) for why they chose Vegas before the couple returns next week from Bora-Bora (wherever the hell that is) by posting your answer in the Comment section of this post or by emailing it to me (Samesty84@gmail.com).
Prizes: To be determined. Suggestions are welcomed.
